Yang-Yang Chen, Associate Professor, Research interests mainly focus on various properties of low-dimensional quantum many-body systems, including
thermodynamics, critical phenomena and correlation properties etc.

Dr. Chen obtained his bachelor degree from Northwestern University in 2012, and Ph.D. degree from Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics (CAS) in 2018. Afterwards, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Quantum Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. In September 2020, he joined the Institute of Modern Physics of Northwestern University. Currently he is in charge of a Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published many papers on celebrated international journals such as Physical Review Letters, Nature Communications, and npj Quantum information.
