Yanming Lin is a professor at Northwest University, is the core member of Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Frontier in Theoretical Physics and Shaanxi Province "Energy Photonic Materials and Devices" of Innovation Team. In 2014, he graduated from the Institute of Modern Physics of Northwest University and worked at Northwest University, and was rated as an associate professor in 2015 and promoted to professor in 2020. November 2012 to June 2013, he as a visiting scholar went to the Department of Applied Chemistry of National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan and his co-tutors were Professor Chaoyuan Zhu and Academician Shengxian Lin. At present, he is mainly engaged in theoretical calculation and experimental research on condensed matter physics and new energy nano-functional material devices, in Appl. Phys. Lett., J. Mater. Chem. A, J. Catal., Appl. Catal. B: Environ., ACS Appl. Energy Mater., Int. J. Hydrogen Energy and other important international academic journals have published more than 40 SCI academic papers. He presided three projects of National Natural Science Foundation and Provincial Ministerial Scientific Research, participated and completed 1 project of National Natural Science Foundation and 1 project Shaanxi Province Natural Science Basic Research Program, and has made academic exchange reports in relevant research fields at international academic conferences in the Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and other countries for many times, established a good scientific research cooperation and exchange relationship with relevant researchers of Queensland University of Science and Technology in Australia, National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, City University of Hong Kong, Tsinghua University and Xi'an Jiaotong University. At the same time, he was selected into the "Outstanding Young Academic Backbone Support Program" of Northwestern University in 2015, and trained graduate students won the 2018 Graduate National Scholarship.
