Zhenyi Jiang

Jiang Zhenyi, senior professor, member of the scientific study committee of the academic committee of Northwestern University, member of the senior professional committee of Chinese electrical insulating materials society, visiting professor of the University of Queensland and Queensland University of technology in Australia, and communication reviewer of the National Natural Science Foundation. He has successively studied for degrees in theoretical physics in the school of physics of Northwest University and materials science and Engineering in Xi'an Jiaotong University. He has done postdoctoral research in the multidisciplinary materials research center of the frontier College of Xi'an Jiaotong University, the State Key Laboratory of electrical insulation of Xi'an Jiaotong University and the department of chemistry of National Tsinghua University in Taiwan. He is mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research in the fields of computational physics and computational materials, such as solid phase transition, lattice dynamics, electron transport and structure, defect diffusion, solar photocatalysis and so on. Important progress has been made in the research fields of lattice dynamics, solid phase transformation mechanism of metal oxides and shape memory alloys, as well as cluster’s charge inversion. In recent years, he has successively presided over several number of National Natural Science Foundation, special fund for doctoral programs in Colleges and universities, key projects of Shaanxi Natural Science Foundation and so on. Total 6 postdoctoral students / 1 visiting scholar, graduated more than 40 master / doctoral students have been instructed at present. Total 13 master / doctoral students are working in the group. More than 100 SCI papers have been published in international journal such as the American Physical Society and the American Chemical Society.
